Just ONE! Clicckk Away!

Sooo... yesterday and today I was thinking what do I blog about this week...
websites.

In my art class (Introduction to Visual Literacy) we spent the whole class not soo much in debate but expressed thoughts, emotions and asked questions and repeated the question:
                                                                                               what is art?
We watched youtube in class to show performance art pieces.
THANK YOU YOUTUBE... you allowing us to watch and see how art can be black and white and spark controversy.  What is art?
Could youtube be a form of art.
I Don't Know. I'm not getting into it. It's good viewing.

The fact is we used the Internet ("New Media") to see art, that we would have to otherwise visit. But what's the point of going to see it outside the classroom when the web makes it so accessible. Well to me the emotion, the presence, the idea. Is websites like youtube taking over how we learn, how we laugh, how we create or document? Just Thoughts.
I Don't Know. But it makes browsing easy.
Gotta Love YouTube :)

Wait?! What?! Who's on Facebook Now!?

What's the Big Deal with Facebook AnyWays?!
               Facebook
               Facebook
               Facebook...
Who really cares?!
10 n 12 year olds.
Nope, doesn't bother me anymore.
At first it did, because when I made a Facebook account I was 18 (something like that)
I did it because my cousin was like "you need one," everyone who's in college has one.
It was how you made friends and kept in touch with friends from home

Facebook is a life update. (my opinion) End of Story.

Psht.. I look at it was the parents problem. They should monitor their kids.
When I was that age my parents were checking up on me every 15 minutes making sure what i was doing, what i was looking at all that fun stuff.
I think it's sh*tty. That at a point when we were that age privacy laws was being developed
NOW in effect. It's like it doesn't even matter.
Parents don't pay attention.
My brother made one at 16 yah I was like okk..Why?
But hey I don't have 10 n 12 year old friends on Facebook
because I don't find it appropriate to be friends with kids that young.
There's a different level of maturity.
A different environment.
I don't have cousins that young on Facebook either.

Dogs n Cats n Fictional  Characters.
Not going to lie, I'm friends with my friend's dog, maximus and maybe my friend's cat, Wayne.
I think it's funny, but they don't keep up with it so it doesn't phase me.
Honestly. I don't let the little things bother me.

FACEBOOK
Well it's definitely too late.
Verification, Confirmation, Information.
WE...Have Taken Over.
Can't kick us off.
We are logged on. AND We are staying on.
Should have thought about it sooner.
OOOOOHHHHHH...WEEEEELLLLLLLLLL

You Are What You....

HMmmm..
You Are What You....
Eat.
Love.
Think.
Read.
For the Last 2 Days I sat at "The" Starbucks during my 6 hour break. WHY?! I do Not know.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU ARE...
[end of story]

                                                           BUT. who are you?

While sitting on the cozy couch chair.
Next to a burning fire.
Trying to read..
I heard a ringing in my ear

A world (within Starbucks) that likes to talk excessively excessively loud on the phone
one man answered his phone and was about to discuss what him and his
son had did that day.. but before doing so with the person on the other line
he said "ohh. hold on I better not talk to loud." but what do you know.
I heard his whole conversation (loud enough).
excuse me sir, but covering your Iphone mircophone with your hand
does not lower your voice. Your the one in control of your own volume!
Your phone can't do that.

Another group of women's laughing was like a freaking rumble HAHAHHAHAH
SHUT UP! every 2 minutes.
Then One women answers her Iphone and she makes herself seem like she's
all in control and hot sh*t. Listen to me talk. blah blah blah blah blah.

I'm glad everyone communicates with their surrounding.
But.

Other groups (college students) conversing speak in an inside voice not echoing through the store. SAY THANK YOU ADULTS!

BUT ITS ABOUT RESPECT!
we know, because we assimilate.

NOW! that i finished my rambling.

On To the Topic!
You Are What You Are.
          HOW?
          BY: Convergence.
I was reading our homework.. taking in all the changes our world has gone through in the 90's to get us to where we are now. I sat remembering how wonderful and appreciative I am/was towards my childhood. How life was and how much it's changed. Being young with technology growing it went unnoticed to our generation. I see the struggle on how the idea of internet took a major hit. Internet wanted to take us over from the start. But they weren't smart enough to get away with it. SO Government got involved. But not theres no stopping the Internet
          Everything's "SMART" Now!
We let it take over. We consumed it. We expect it. It's a part of our Life.
Starbucks is not just a place to go read a good book. It's a place where it's expectable to use your phone and your laptop. The world has grown comfortable with technology.
WE ARE WHO WE ARE BECAUSE OF TECHNOLOGY!
          (class in paying off... laugh)
we eat, love, think and read and much more because technology has shown us what    "Happiness" is. We define ourselves by our surrounds? yes. no? even at Starbucks.

[This my be way off and me rambling again. or not explaining it right.  but I like to see the
lil things.]

But who doesn't love Coffee : )
