Can you say STRESS? YES!

This will be my last blog.
I'm not a blogger. I don't like to be publicly open to the internet.
Not my thing.

So with it being th
e end the semester.
And with this being our last class and last test I just want to say that I have never in my life been so stressed.
It's sad to say that I have developed an ulcer from working this semester. This is a new school for me.. and trimester are new to me as well. I didn't realize how fast things move. I couldn't keep up with all the readings, papers, assignments and research.
I struggled no matter how hard I tried. I could never finish everything and I felt like sh*t for it. I still do feel like sh*t. My grades show it. And thats the part that sucks is I didn't slack and there's nothing I can say to change anything.
...................................

So I found this quote and I think it defines my stress now. My new found identity.
Thank You NCC!
Stress is nothing more than a socially acceptable form
of mental illness
-Richard Carlson.

Now to go finish failing my finials.
( I know great attitude, but I study my butt off, pull all nighters to get my exam with a lovely failing grade. Tests are not my thing, never have been, never will be. And that's the part that sucks is that most of the time your grade is based off it...)
Thats my finals rant.
THE END......

Florida Here I Come!!

In just a matter of 2 days. 2 days! Can you believe it?!
My best friend and I planned a trip to the shores of sunny
 Orlando, Florida!

Thank You!
American Airlines
It's going to be a blast, how the old saying goes (I think) fun in the sun.
Laying out
Surfing
Shopping
Parties
I'm so ready for spring break.

It started with one question: " You wanna go to Florida?"
"When?!"
"Over break?"
"Ok! When is your spring break?!"

And that's all it took!
Pulled out the old handy laptop and got to searching
Boop! and with just 5 clicks we booked our flight
Bingo!

That's really all I have to say
Other than I love the Internet when times like these arise.
No more calling the travel agent.
:)

Now all I have to do is be like, "Hey Chelz we're in Orlando and we need a place to stay!"
But that won't be a problem!
Now the Countdown Begins!
17 Days!

WHO is in the LOOP?

SOooo..
I was in COLORADO the other weekend. & let me tell you, it was absolutely breathtaking.
Colorado is a whole other world.
In Chicago and other very populated areas, our life is always on the move
the hustle and bustle, the deadlines, the noise, the people.
But in Colorado.. everything slowed down. The people were friendly, super chill, easy going, living life, and no complaints. Living life like no tomorrow. Living life on the edge. Going to the extreme.
No one was on their cell phones, or computers, or laptops.
There day starts earlier then us and ends earlier than us.
They're on the Mountain from open till close.
They have happy hour everyday from 3pm-6pm
And if not they are at work
Always having fun.
No distractions.
Doing what they love.

I love my city... but here we are plugged in all the time.
We have worries and fears.
We have deadlines.
We need social media to survive. To stay in tune. That's what matters most to us.
Everything is new

THERE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE 2 DIFFERENT WORLDS.
ANYWHERE YOU GO.

It was definitely nice to take a break from the real world. Really experience what life has to offer.
The Joy Of Being UNPLUGGED :)

Just ONE! Clicckk Away!

Sooo... yesterday and today I was thinking what do I blog about this week...
websites.

In my art class (Introduction to Visual Literacy) we spent the whole class not soo much in debate but expressed thoughts, emotions and asked questions and repeated the question:
                                                                                               what is art?
We watched youtube in class to show performance art pieces.
THANK YOU YOUTUBE... you allowing us to watch and see how art can be black and white and spark controversy.  What is art?
Could youtube be a form of art.
I Don't Know. I'm not getting into it. It's good viewing.

The fact is we used the Internet ("New Media") to see art, that we would have to otherwise visit. But what's the point of going to see it outside the classroom when the web makes it so accessible. Well to me the emotion, the presence, the idea. Is websites like youtube taking over how we learn, how we laugh, how we create or document? Just Thoughts.
I Don't Know. But it makes browsing easy.
Gotta Love YouTube :)
...Search Keywords
...Chose Video
...Watch
...Repeat
Simple. Easy.

Art on the other hand...

Wait?! What?! Who's on Facebook Now!?

What's the Big Deal with Facebook AnyWays?!
               Facebook
               Facebook
               Facebook...
Who really cares?!
10 n 12 year olds.
Nope, doesn't bother me anymore.
At first it did, because when I made a Facebook account I was 18 (something like that)
I did it because my cousin was like "you need one," everyone who's in college has one.
It was how you made friends and kept in touch with friends from home

Facebook is a life update. (my opinion) End of Story.

Psht.. I look at it was the parents problem. They should monitor their kids.
When I was that age my parents were checking up on me every 15 minutes making sure what i was doing, what i was looking at all that fun stuff.
I think it's sh*tty. That at a point when we were that age privacy laws was being developed
NOW in effect. It's like it doesn't even matter.
Parents don't pay attention.
My brother made one at 16 yah I was like okk..Why?
But hey I don't have 10 n 12 year old friends on Facebook
because I don't find it appropriate to be friends with kids that young.
There's a different level of maturity.
A different environment.
I don't have cousins that young on Facebook either.

Dogs n Cats n Fictional  Characters.
Not going to lie, I'm friends with my friend's dog, maximus and maybe my friend's cat, Wayne.
I think it's funny, but they don't keep up with it so it doesn't phase me.
Honestly. I don't let the little things bother me.

FACEBOOK
Well it's definitely too late.
Verification, Confirmation, Information.
WE...Have Taken Over.
Can't kick us off.
We are logged on. AND We are staying on.
Should have thought about it sooner.
OOOOOHHHHHH...WEEEEELLLLLLLLLL

You Are What You....

HMmmm..
You Are What You....
Eat.
Love.
Think.
Read.
For the Last 2 Days I sat at "The" Starbucks during my 6 hour break. WHY?! I do Not know.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU ARE...
[end of story]

                                                           BUT. who are you?

While sitting on the cozy couch chair.
Next to a burning fire.
Trying to read..
I heard a ringing in my ear

A world (within Starbucks) that likes to talk excessively excessively loud on the phone
one man answered his phone and was about to discuss what him and his
son had did that day.. but before doing so with the person on the other line
he said "ohh. hold on I better not talk to loud." but what do you know.
I heard his whole conversation (loud enough).
excuse me sir, but covering your Iphone mircophone with your hand
does not lower your voice. Your the one in control of your own volume!
Your phone can't do that.

Another group of women's laughing was like a freaking rumble HAHAHHAHAH
SHUT UP! every 2 minutes.
Then One women answers her Iphone and she makes herself seem like she's
all in control and hot sh*t. Listen to me talk. blah blah blah blah blah.

I'm glad everyone communicates with their surrounding.
But.

Other groups (college students) conversing speak in an inside voice not echoing through the store. SAY THANK YOU ADULTS!

BUT ITS ABOUT RESPECT!
we know, because we assimilate.

NOW! that i finished my rambling.

On To the Topic!
You Are What You Are.
          HOW?
          BY: Convergence.
I was reading our homework.. taking in all the changes our world has gone through in the 90's to get us to where we are now. I sat remembering how wonderful and appreciative I am/was towards my childhood. How life was and how much it's changed. Being young with technology growing it went unnoticed to our generation. I see the struggle on how the idea of internet took a major hit. Internet wanted to take us over from the start. But they weren't smart enough to get away with it. SO Government got involved. But not theres no stopping the Internet
          Everything's "SMART" Now!
We let it take over. We consumed it. We expect it. It's a part of our Life.
Starbucks is not just a place to go read a good book. It's a place where it's expectable to use your phone and your laptop. The world has grown comfortable with technology.
WE ARE WHO WE ARE BECAUSE OF TECHNOLOGY!
          (class in paying off... laugh)
we eat, love, think and read and much more because technology has shown us what    "Happiness" is. We define ourselves by our surrounds? yes. no? even at Starbucks.

[This my be way off and me rambling again. or not explaining it right.  but I like to see the
lil things.]

But who doesn't love Coffee : )

GooGle Gone Global?!

Q: Do you have an addiction to Google?
A: Yes.

It's ture.
I am.
Is it OK?
... Haven't really thought about it...

I do have an addiction that is to google chrome.
I'll admit its my homepage.
I have all different apps on homepage that refer to my interests.
I change the theme on the page all the time to keep it interesting.
I google something all the time if I don't have it set on to my bookmarks.
or if i have the normal or unusual questions...
I wouldn't know half the sh*t if it wasn't for Google.

Q: Is Google to powerful and too omnipresent ?
A: Yes.

Q: Are we to dependent on its various services?
A: Yes.

How is it so easy.
1. Because it's available at our finger tips
2. Conveniently managed, and updated
3. Not a competing email browser, just a web browser.

It becomes natural to say "I'm gonna Google it" instead of search...
It's like Google is now in the dictionary as a synonym for search.
The world is ever growing so why not designate one web browser to answering questions. I mean there  practically is one, from looking at the statistics. So it's catching on. That's only my opinion.
Google, makes life easy. They should make a shirt saying that because it's true.
Google tells all, says all, and is all you need to find what your looking for. That has to be a now cliche model of an answer :)

Google I Love You.

Did Girl Talk Just RIP IT?!

Im huge into documentaries! HUGE!
& I LOVE! Music

& in our last few classes I wanted to really know what others thoughts and opinions where on technology and its ever expanding range of the world. SOOO scoping out HULU I found a fim from 2009, CURRENT I KNOW! RIGHT! Thank Goodness!
            RIP! A Remix Manifesto!

* How the old saying goes " the past will repeat itself," and thanks to good old OSCAR WILDE he said it all "any fool can make history, it takes a genius to write it."

It's super interesting yet way informative, it might seem boring but this involves our internet, our way of life.

GIRL TALK!
LOVE GIRL TALK!
(ONE SICK CONCERT TO GO TO FYI)

Girl Talk is one that mixes the past under the future. Is that legal is the question. But why is it so popular and how are they getting away with it just like everyone.
BUT is sampling?
What's original?
Who's is Who's?
& What is What?
I guess it all depends.

IDK!ANYthing on COPYright :)

This world is ever so evolving and forming a whole new generation to music and technology.
But WHO'S complaining. NOT kids today. WE don't care. WE are out of control. WE do it unconsciously. The PAST Is The One Who Has A Problem With It! WHY?! History has been doing it forever...Something to think about! Who would have thought. People say nothings free. but to me it sounds wrong now.

THANK YOU NAPSTER!.. but you got caught.
BUT WE CANT STOP. WONT STOP!NOW!
you opened the gate to what history kept a secret.

BUT!... in the end people can agree to disagree. period.
We are making history. or is it history that makes this all possible?

Great Documentary. Take the time to watch it. Open your mind.
Because all forms of MEDIA has been remaking original ideas.
paintings, photos, art..
music
even tattoos is that considered copyright?

Not Martha! Then Who Are You?!

Answer : A Blogger .
Megan Reardon's the Name .

Just my catchy introduction to my post on Bloggers on Blogging.

I'll be the first to say that I'm a personable person but I'm not a fan of updating my busy on the internet. SO.. this blog thing is going to be a bit hard for me.

Anyways.. I think Megan NOT Martha is a pretty kool person. She's real. Blogging is her form of Stickies. LOVE IT! Why use sticky notes when all the world lives on the internet. No more need for paper. Technology is where it's at. Am I right or am I right!? But I'm still a fan of paper. YES! I recycle! Blogging is her form of organization. Never thought about it as that. Maybe It'll grow on me (DOUBTFUL)... but who knows. Nothing is permanent just like blog posts.

KNITTING... I can't comment on that, but crafts in itself is another form of ART! SO I'd say this bloggers on blogging post caught my eye.
I DEFINITELY AM AN APPRECIATOR OF ALL ART (if that's even a word).
So seeing a post that likes to update on the arts and crafts world  made me smile :)

What does blogging and art have in common? Answer : Documentation.
That's what I found out. Which I think is the route I'm going to do with my blog assignments.
